A FEW TRUTHS...Kunal Roy
As I was preparing to leave the college after a hectic day's schedule, I was faced by the dark, black clouds that really looked sullen and it was thought for a while that they would melt into rains, bringing a sense of relief not only to Georgians but to the rest of the city dwellers too. But the mere wish was not translated into reality. However there was a strong, cold wind to serve as a consolation! Truly at times what we think or nurture, mostly latent desire at the corner of our heart , is either partially fulfilled or not at all and therefore leaving us at the lurch!
However, the most tormenting moment crops up when we really fall prey to the web of a horrendous make -believe world! No matter how much we have got or achieved, a single pit fall seems to tear apart our souls. We shed tears. We scream, hurt ourselves or at the most blame others blatantly without any reason as such. What an unscrupulous act! Little we do realise the root cause of such a kind of mental disruption. It is nothing but that hope which was once a blessing turns into a curse of restlessness. Hope gives rise to positivity, but hoping against hope fetches trauma, if not a disaster ! Let us restrain ourselves from any dicey situation.
There may be clouds spreading across the sky, but the rain gods don't essentially promise to drench us to our feet. People may give you words but it is not necessary they are to be kept. Infact if we bank on His choice, the best gift is assured, a truth I realized as I read the poem' Weaver' in the wee hours of the morning!!
