Durga's tears | Subhadeep Banerjee | Poem

Durga's tears
Subhadeep Banerjee

In shadows cast, Durga weeps, her tears a torrential rain,
Amidst the burning chaos, she witnesses their pain.
The Manipur girls, souls bruised, hearts torn,
Enduring cruelty, innocence forlorn.

Her eyes, ablaze with righteous wrath,
Witnessing their anguish on this harrowing path.
Yet, in her tears, a glimmer of hope,
A call for justice, a way to cope.

Her trident rises, a symbol of might,
To protect the oppressed, to set things right.
In her embrace, the girls find solace,
As Durga stands tall, an unwavering fortress.

Her fury, a tempest, her love, a healing balm,
For every girl harmed, she becomes their calm.
The flames may rage, but she'll stand strong,
Injustice defeated, as they sing a victorious song.

Let us unite in her compassionate fight,
To end the suffering, to bring the light.
With Durga's tears, a river of change,
In the face of darkness, love will rearrange.
