A question often lurks at the corner of my mind. Why are not men allowed to use non vegetarian words and expressions before the women? In fact there is no such apt reply to such an enquiry taking root in every rational mind. But I strongly believe that since time immemorial such a notion is being encouraged and thus the move is often given a sense of caveat without any kind of prior intimation!
Now the factor is why does this happen? Is this because they are always on the passive edge? Is this because they are still considered the sex citizen? Is this because they are often regarded as the weaker sex of the social milieu? If all these are stated to be the reasons, then we, really have nothing to utter! If this is not hypocrisy, then what it is? Women are the victims of domestic violence, rape by the unknown men. They are sold off to prostitution to serve the masculine gender. On the other hand, slangs or verbal abuse are often seen to be encouraged by them, especially when a sense of bickering crops up! The words used are redolent of sex and prostitution only!
Look at the maids of our household. You are not at all in a position to speak something against them or point out their flaws! And if such a daring instance takes place, the dire consequence appears, where at times the police intervenes and the whole matter turns from dismal to worse without harbouring any doubt!
If all these are just a part of our life and if the discourse revolves around the unconventional items, no finger should be raised. The clan is well aware of the stuff. It is infact a sense of insult which puts them in an embarassing situation! We, the males donot desire them to participate in such discussions and lighten the situation!
A sense of discrimation is noted too. Though all the elements of the creative process begin from them, withdrawal from utter any spurious term proves nothing. They too are humans, made of blood, flesh and muscles. After all actions and experiences carry a more weightage than just a few terms of body and intimacy! Let us give a second thought. A society is a single unit and no factor of separatism should raise its hood and envenom the bond to breed a sense of chaos and anarchy!! Any explanation?
