Midnight. The crescent moon clung to the sky. The Lord prepared to announce my birthday. I woke up on time, completed the household formalities before preparing to attend my work station as it was the first day of the internal examination.
I purchased the token, boarded the metro and within a span of twenty minutes reached Central. I took a brisk walk amid the sun and breeze to reach on time. I logged in and the day began!
It was my forty third birthday in the absence of true companions. However, I was deluged with wishes from my students and other people who like for a reason or two. But there was no such celebration this time. The day was spent amid a tight schedule!
Gradually the sun set at the horizon and the dusk fell on the ground, much to my delight. I did some shopping and went to impart lessons to my student! I returned a bit late , had my supper and drifted to a deep slumber.
An individual's birthday can only become fruitful if he or she is flanked by the close ones who truly understand him or her. Nothing of sort happened with me! It was a quiet day except an article published from Belgium. Students showered their love and reverence and I believe they truly made my day, no matter whether it was a big or a small form. A wish is always a wish, despite all odds!
I have grown up, matured a bit and learnt to tackle the issues confidently. Undoubtedly the best gift of life. Many more years to live and prove myself. I never request my Lord to cut down the span of my life, as it is an unpardonable sin. I strongly believe life is meant to live and not to regret. After all human life is gifted once by the policy of Nature!!
