অব্যক্ত প্রেম

ভাবিনি কখনো আমি 

দেখা হবে তোমাতে আমাতে 

কৃষ্ণচূড়ার বনে 

পাতা ঝরার মরশুমে ।

ভাবিনি কখনো আমি 

রাঙিয়ে হৃদয় প্রেমের অশ্রজলে 

ভাসবে তরী অবুঝ মনের টানে 

হারিয়ে যাবো দুজনায় অসম্পূর্ণ হয়ে ।

না জানি কোন 'স্বপ্নের বৃত্তে '

খুঁজে পেয়েছি তোমায় 

বহুজনের ভিড়ে;

কখনো বা স্বপ্নের ঘোরে 

অদম্য ভালোবাসার টানে ।

ঐ দূরে দেখা যায় জোনাকিদের বাড়ি 

চলো না সেথায় হারিয়ে যাই 

সাজাই তোমায় নতুন সাজে 

পারস্পরিক কোন দায়বদ্ধতা ছাড়াই ।

চলো না হেঁটে যাই দুজনায় 

কোথায় ......

যেখানে আমাদের 'প্রেমের ওম '

হবে না মলিন, থাকবে চিরস্থায়ী ।

সেখানে আমরা প্রেমের নেশায় 

হারাবো সম্বিৎ ।।

I have never thought of

to meet you

in the forest of Krishnachura

in the season of falling leaves.

I have never thought of

colouring your heart with

the tears of love

the boat would float with the attraction of the foolish mind

would get lost in an incomplete manner.

I don't know in which 'circle of dream'

I have discovered you

in the crowd;

or in the dream

an indomitable love thrives.

There lies the house of fire flies

let us lose ourselves there

deck you up in a new manner

without any mutual onus

let us take a walk

where

we would lose ourselves...
