THE CONUNDRUM !Kunal Roy
Often we talk or hear about the indispensable nature of our academic qualifications. Essential alma mater bolstered by the individual mettle can surely channelize one's future in the right direction. Qualification is nothing but a passport without which you are simply not eligible to rule the rostrum!
However, there is a question which keeps on plaguing our minds: " Do people always tell the truth about their qualification?".The answer to this question is enshrouded in a mist. But , if you blatantly desire to know the answer, it is a big 'NO'. People lie a lot about their qualification like their hobbies. They often try to make others run astray. They often try to make others feel at maze. And the present status of sick hurry and divided aims acts as a saving clutch to them.They escape the iron rod, and continue to deceive the people's notions unscrupulously!
One of my aunts ( Sejho Kakima) before her marriage and coming to our residence in Tollygunge, asserted with confidence that she had a post graduate degree, but later it was incorrigibly revealed that she was one of the biggest illiterates the world has ever produced, something that was shown in her whorish behaviour and attitude! The most detestable one, sold off for rupees five thousand to get married to envenom the new house. Moreover, things took a further turn when one of my elder sisters claimed that she too was a post graduate in an ethical subject from the prestigious Calcutta University! Interestingly, there is still no proof and others are utterly confounded at such open lies! While questioning on such facts, they simply move from one plane to another and love to indulge in camouflage! I often wonder how long such acts of dishonesty would continue? Are they not sick and tired of all these? Don't they feel irkesome to weave the tale of despair and anxiety? Unabashed!
People with lower degrees or less marks handle others (with higher qualifications) with much impunity. This is a very conventional scenario in the various work places. I am a great witness to such seriously mocking issues! They never fathom that misleads and misbehaviour cannot continue for a prolonged span of time!
So you can always find such awkward individuals around you! Little do they know that every one knows everything, and one tongue is enough to shatter their spirit and tear apart their image of falsehood! After all, the correct process of knowledge gives rise to wisdom: Let us focus on it!!
