SRI SRI THAKUR RAMAKRISHNA AND HIS DIVINE DREAM!Kunal Roy
If we manage to study Thakur Sri Sri Ramakrishna's life, we will be able to comprehend that he was gradually paving the path for the complete manifestation! Although he was absorbed in his spiritual sublimity yet his dream was always a bigger one. His primary mission was to congregate a handful of selfless individuals to translate his vision into reality.
The steps were silent. Gradually he sowed the seeds for a greater cause. He moved towards the concept of global organisation. And for this massive purpose he needed a very good architect. The shaper of the destiny of tomorrow. The nascent energy was released. The oxygen he breathed in supplied strength to the roots that eventually aided the plant transform into a huge tree. It soon began to spread its branches far and wide.
It is noteworthy that Thakur was not formally educated. But the message of humanity he spread is still far beyond our comprehension! His messages are not bookish. Yet they still manage to help and enlighten us in the moments of distress and deprivation.
Thakur never differentiated between the upper and lower classes of society. People from the diverse cultural backgrounds were drawn to him owing to his spiritual attainments. His conversation with the stalwarts of his time showed the impact of his teachings on a larger scale. Ranging from Keshav Chandra to Bankim Chandra to Girish Chandra Ghosh, everybody was attracted towards him. He could talk at length on the 'Supreme Source of this cosmos'. His intelligent and argumentative views on God impressed him beyond any drop of doubt! The blows were cordially invited. The answers were given. However, they could not understand that Thakur really desired them to be under the same umbrella. In fact a part of his mission!
Gradually moments fleeted away. The breeze of renaissance began to blow gently. The new sun ascended in the eastern part of the sky. The glow spread steadily but firmly. Time ripened for the world to witness a perpetual moment. Time to assemble the best minds of his noble clan. He picked up Narendranath. Thakur was blessed with clairvoyance. He knew very well that his dearest Naren was the most able individual to set up the crypt of love and humanity.
Thakur passed away in 1886. Before the moment his spiritual vibrations were transfered to him. The strength helped Naren conquer the whole world. Naren turned out to be a true harbinger of Thakur. He was a true manager of the Ramakrishna Mission. Naren was not formally trained in leadership and preaching. But the ways he adopted to practise them not only left everyone surprised but paved the path for a complete spiritual growth and development!
Thakur was well aware of the fact that his disciples would not let him down. The plan was chalked out. The plot was purchased. The construction of the monastery began. A revolution in the domain of culture, religion and spiritualism. The purpose of the mission was to preach the truths of their master, good for the human race. Realise them and apply them to overcome the barriers of torment and trauma and live a life of peace and tranquility, something synonymous to immortality!
The rules and regulations were framed. The gross body of management was formed. The devotees poured into. The fame spread far and wide.
Religion was imprinted on his soul. He was always hemmed in by his followers. He would say that "every religion leads to the same goal". Thakur's understanding of the divine force was a matter of 'self realisation'. His words were sharp. His voice was piercing. An individual who had encompassed a large number of fields viz moral, spiritual, divine, social, intellectual and cultural.
People might be of the opinion that Naren didn't act in the way his Guru wished. There could be diverse opinions on this subject. Still Naren was the true leader behind the act. His approach was different but it never contradicted his Guru's desires. After all His wishes were always his commands.
Years have rolled by. The number of devotees has enhanced. People find comfort and peace amid the monks. A beautified ambience where discipline thrives with aplomb. At this very hour when we are governed by sick hurry and vaulted ambition, the path once showed by Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna Dev is the one and absolute to be followed to balance both the sides of the 'equation'!!
