It is the darkness which gleefully engulfs our heart and soul. To dispel the darkness, the Goddess has descended from the heaven to shower her blessings of purity. She is worshipped amid thousands of rites and rituals. The youngsters are in their traditional outfits. The ethnic ethos have echoed in the air. The aroma of incense sticks, the radiance of clay lamps and the chanting of holy hymns have added a different dimension of sanctity to the ambience. Besides, the educational institutes have also been lit up with this divine resplendance! The Goddess rides a swan with Vina in one hand and the Vedas in another. A gentle smile hovers around her countenance and the oodles of fun rife the air without any sense of unwillingness!
The divinity on one hand and the lover's charm on the other. The much awaited Valentine's Day is also here. The lover's day where heart meets the economy! Whispers of love accompanied by a dear rose bring the two beings close to one another. They spend the day in the lap of nature. They decide to take walks of long miles. They decide to flower their romance in either a coffee shop or in a five star hotel. However, the day is not for every single soul, no matter if his or her heart bloats with such tender emotions or not! A bulging pocket with a solitaire can only make the day!
Though we celebrate the day every year religiously, Valentine's Day actually marks the sacrifice of a soldier for the sake of his true and unadulterated love! A lesson which still teaches that apart from every grain of romance, sacrifice stands tall and one literally doesn't have anything to utter, if one is blessed with a rational bent of mind!
Keeping all the factors at bay, let us put our hands together and enjoy the moments to our heart's content. After all, the two mega events seldom coalesce amid the rising sun and the falling dusk!!
